Bliss. The Queen size bed is so comfy. They’ve thought of everything – fluffy towels, electric blankets, cosy cushions – you can see the place has just been completely refurbished. And the space! So much room to move here. Bright and airy. The views over the lake are just beautiful. The geese woke me up with their honking – I burst out laughing.Tom brought me a late breakfast in bed – everything was ready in our hamper – cereal, tea, coffee, juice. All he needed to do was boil the kettle and make toast. Must visit the Convent Gallery. And book a masseur.I’ve shed 10 years. We took a boat and rowed across the lake – water still and peaceful. Picked up some supplies, ‘coz we’ll have a BBQ tonight. Tom checked out the mineral springs while I pampered myself with a back massage in our room. Felt the tension just melting away… Must have dozed off. Woke up to find Tom playing some smoochy jazz on the CD player…This is the life. Relaxed on the deck after our BBQ with a good Cabernet and watched the sun come down over the lake. Such a special place. Secluded, tucked away in our own little world. Came back in and lit the gas fire, watched a DVD. They’ve even got air conditioning - Daylesford in summer. Now that’s a thought.Still haven’t visited the Convent Gallery. Maybe on the way back. Why do weekends have to end? |
